Monique DECAMPS est née en 1957.
Amoureuse des belles lettres et des langues
étrangères, elle se voit contrainte de suivre une formation de secrétaire bilingue anglais.
Monia, fascinée par le pays cathare, commence à écrire un livre dédié à Trencavel (aujourd'hui
épuisé) et fonde l'association du même nom dont elle devient présidente.
Après avoir publié "Gypsy chatte-gitane"
en 1987,livre édité par la Pensée Universelle, Monia publie :

LE DJANIAT... LE JARDIN DE DIEU, une oeuvre humanitaire et un vibrant hommage à Ahmad Shah Massoud et au peuple afghan (2003),
magnifiquement illustré par le très regretté artiste peintre Rudy Van Giffen.
Les versions anglaises de ces deux ouvrages
sont réalisées dans le courant de 2003. A noter : "THE DJANIAT... THE GARDEN OF GOD" sera auto-édité par l'Association Trencavel
courant 2006.
Monia, membre de la SACD (Société des Auteurs et des Compositeurs Dramatiques) a également écrit une
pièce de théâtre pour le village de Leuc :
LA LEGENDE D'ITAQUE (qui retrace sur 2 siècles l'histoire de ce village).
+ 3 pièces de théâtre médiévales pour le village de Pieusse dans le cadre des Estivales cathares, hélas aujourd'hui
terminées :
1° SUR LES TERRES DE MES PERES (2001)
2° FARANDOLE (2002)
3° ULTIME BALLADE (2002)
ces
trois pièces retraçant l'histoire de Raimond Roger Trencavel, la première victime de la Croisade Albigeoise et de son fils
Raimond II Trencavel. Les deux premières ont été jouées en public.
Monique Decamps was born in 1957.
Though a lover of literature and foreign languages, she was obliged to embrace a career
of bilingual secretary.
Monia, fascinated by the Cathar country has decided to write a book dedicated to Trencavel
(now unvalaible). She has also founded the Association Trencavel of which she is the president.
After writing "Gypsy... the bohemian she-cat", published by the Pensée Universelle in 1987,
Monia has published:

and the people of Afghanistan (2003)
The English versions of these two books were finished by the end of 2003. Please note that
THE DJANIAT... THE GARDEN OF GOD will be published by the Association Trencavel before the end of 2006.

of this village,
